Aeiou Tools is a type design playground based in our heartland, offering retail and bespoke typefaces, research, consultancy and ramens.

A Desktop/Print license allows you to use our fonts on your devices and use it to create any printed material such as documents, posters, banners, merchandising, signage for one single company/client (with ‘company’ we intend a single brand and not a group of brands).

A Web license allows you to use our fonts on your website without any traffic limit. If you want to use the font on a second domain you have to buy an additional license. You can only use WOFF and WOFF2 files, uploading a desktop OTF file is forbidden (It’s not possible to use a desktop/print license on a website).

An App/Video game license allows you to use our fonts in a single application/video game released on different digital stores or physically for console, computer and mobile. If you want to use the font on a second application/game you have to buy an additional license.

A Social license allows you to use our fonts on any social media without follower limitation. You can create still and motion content only for social media. Those content can’t be used out of social media platforms, to use it you will have to purchase an additional license based on the use. (ex. To use a video content as a television advertising you have to purchase a advertising license)

A Streaming Broadcast License allows you to use our fonts on television, and streaming/broadcast platforms (ex. Netflix, Twitch, YouTube Live, etc.). The font use is limited to contents like titles, Broadcast channel design system, layouts, except advertising contents (see advertising license).

A Trademark License allows you to use our fonts to create a logo or wordmark for one single company/brand. This logo or wordmark can be used on video, social media, streaming, broadcasting, printed matter, etc. This is the only license that allows you to convert the font in outline and to modify it as you wish. The modification of a font file is always forbidden.

An Advertising license allows you to use our fonts to create any content (printed, digital, broadcast, streaming, social, etc.) to promote a single campaign of a product, an event, etc.

A Trials license is a free license that allows you to try our fonts and show them to a client before purchasing them. The license doesn't allow you to create any final output and make profit from them.

If you are a student all our fonts are free to use for personal and university related projects. You can contact us, providing information about your student information and explaining to us the project for which you would need our fonts. At any time the project generates profit, you have to purchase the right license.

The unlimited license is intended for companies that need more coverage than the previously mentioned licenses. The license covers all possible uses of our fonts on all devices and media. This type of license is available upon request.

Our license price system is based on the proposal of the Swiss type foundry ABC Dinamo. It means that the owner of the license should not be the designer or the agency working for him, but the client/company using it for its goods. Therefore, the price of the licenses varies depending on the size of the client/company. You can find more information about our licensing system in our EULA.

We encourage designers to let their clients purchase licenses, because those who actively use the license should own it. The client should always own the license and the designer should be covered by the license.

You may not share purchased products with third parties unless it is specified in the EULA. Please contact us at peace@aeiou.tools whenever you have this need.

Of course, you can download the trial versions of the fonts you are interested directly from the font page by clicking the button 'Trials' or trough your personal account. You can find more information about our licensing system in our EULA.

Of course, after signing up and purchasing, you will have access to your personal account from where you can check the date of the last update of the purchased font and download it again.

Yes, we do offer this kind of service. If you need a license that covers all your needs or a specific license for a large company, don't hesitate to contact us at peace@aeiou.tools.

Unfortunately, no. Since these are digital products/software, once you have purchased and downloaded the files, we cannot verify whether you have deleted them or whether they have been lost in any way. Before you purchase our fonts, you agree to our EULA, so we can only offer refunds within the terms set out in the EULA itself. We recommend that you read our End User License Agreement carefully. If you have any problems installing our fonts, we will try to resolve any issues with you. If you have lost the files we recommend you to access your personal account via login and download the purchased order again.

Aeiou Tools E-commerce works with the payment processor Stripe, a software infrastructure that enables individuals and businesses to send and receive payments via the Internet. In a nutshell, Stripe handles the payments. For this reason we can't know the reason why a particular card is declined. We suggest you contact your Bank and solve the problem with them if this issue happens.

Our policy is not to add additional discounts to the final price because it is our license pricing calculator that applies coefficients and discounts based on the company size, the number of fonts purchased, and the number of licenses selected.

Yes, you can also make purchases from your smartphone.

Depends on the type of license purchased. We provide OTF and TTF files for Desktop/Print, App, Social, Advertising, Branding, Streaming and Broadcast licenses. Web fonts are provided in WOFF and WOFF2 files.

There are several guides on the web on how to use web fonts, we suggest you follow this one from css-tricks.
If necessary, we will make our detailed guide in the future.

We do not have a newsletter right now, although we plan to create one soon. Until then any update or upcoming release will be communicated through @aeiou.tools or through your personal account.

This is a list of things that you CAN’T do with our fonts:

• Creating NFTs (Non-fungible token) without contacting us and have determined an appropriate license
• Use our fonts in political and/or religious context
• Use our fonts to promote violence and discrimination
• Editing our font files and create a custom versions or copies of them
• Converting our font files to other formats (ex. for the foxy ones :-), WOFF2 to OTF)
• Changing the name of our fonts and create copies of them
• Publish, share and upload our fonts on public websites, blogs, servers or repositories (Github, VK, etc.)
