Andret
Andret is a workhorse grotesque that merges humanist details to a low contrast appearance, allowing it to works well on small sizes. The typeface is composed as all other Sans families out there, from thin to black with matching italics. The design result is a rigid and structured face that embodies all the process it got through. The typeface has been under development for multiple years, with first sketches dating from Autumn 2018 and creating considerable frustration. At the early days of Aeiou Tools, like when it was just in our heads, a new pair of hand arrived as a light in the dark to revised and refined the entirety of Andret, giving consistency and coherence across all the design direction.
